Scott Van Bergen (class of 2010) shows sculpture in PSU show

Our high school art teacher, David Schell, recently ran into alumnus Scott Van Bergen, class of 2010, at an art opening. Scott is thriving as a sculpture major at Portland State University, and is about to finish is BFA. He is currently featured in a group art show on the PSU campus.

As Mr. Schell explains of the photos below, “Scott's work is held together by tension. The engine block acts as a weight that keeps the wood in place. He's become a fan of Richard Serra's work – a great artist for any young person to look up to!”
